Rick Taylor
Founder & CEO
Rick Taylor is the founder and CEO of Taylor Fire Protection, a company he founded alongside his wife, Wendy. He is committed to providing Peace of Mind through the highest standard of fire protection services across Alaska. With decades of experience in the industry, Rick has dedicated his career to ensuring businesses, industrial facilities, and communities have access to reliable, top-quality fire safety solutions. His leadership and expertise have helped Taylor Fire grow into one of Alaska’s most trusted fire protection providers.
Rick’s approach to business has always been personal. He believes in building lasting relationships with clients and treating every customer with the same care and dedication that have been at the company's heart since its founding. Under his leadership, Taylor Fire has expanded from a small home office to a 6,000-square-foot facility, housing a team of skilled professionals and a fleet of service vehicles ready to serve clients statewide.
Beyond fire protection, Rick and Wendy are deeply involved in their community, supporting local organizations and giving back in big and small ways. Whether mentoring his team, personally checking in on clients, or ensuring businesses have the right fire safety systems in place, Rick remains committed to the mission that started it all: Providing Peace of Mind.
Bret Taylor
Business Development Manager
Bret Taylor has been a key member of Taylor Fire Protection since 2011, bringing extensive experience in business management and fire protection. With a bachelor's degree in business management and 17 years as a business owner and licensed general contractor, he has a strong background in leadership and innovation.
At Taylor Fire, Bret is factory-trained and certified in Notifier Fire Alarm Systems, Room Integrity Testing, and Captive Aire Kitchen Hood Suppression Systems. He also played a vital role in launching the Hood and Duct Cleaning division. His expertise ensures clients receive top-tier fire protection solutions tailored to their needs.
Outside of work, Bret has a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Whether hiking, biking, hunting, or spending time with his family, he enjoys Alaska's natural beauty. He values the strong camaraderie at Taylor Fire and considers the team one of the best parts of his job. Bret’s dedication to his work and passion for building relationships make him an integral part of the Taylor Fire team.
Randy Siddoway
Accounting Manager
Randy Siddoway brings decades of financial expertise to Taylor Fire Protection, where he manages the accounting department with a focus on strategic planning and business value growth. A graduate of Utah State University with a degree in accounting, Randy began his career at KPMG, gaining extensive experience in audit and tax services. He later founded Siddoway & Company in 1999, specializing in helping business owners understand and build company value. As a Certified Value Builder and Certified Valuation Analyst, Randy has worked extensively with commercial construction companies, implementing systems to track project profitability and enhance financial decision-making.
After years of consulting with Taylor Fire, Randy officially joined the team in 2023 and has enjoyed applying his expertise to support the company’s continued success. When he's not crunching numbers, Randy and his wife enjoy spending time with their ten children and multiple grandchildren. He also has a passion for adventure—whether it's riding cross-country on his motorcycle, competing in Ironman triathlons, or catering meals for large groups.
